It’s incredibly difficult to run for political office, especially when you don’t know what to expect. This program will cover all the information you need to know to become part of the next generation of leadership in San Francisco. We will cover a wide range of subjects, from basic background information like how much time commitment it will take to specifics like how to raise money or win endorsements.
Many parts of this process may be daunting, but know that our team is committed to helping see you through this process. It’s in all of our interest to have smart, capable and passionate people in leadership roles up and down the ballot.
We can show you what it takes to run a winning campaign. It’s up to you to do the work.

The Civic Leaders program encourages everyone who is interested to apply, regardless of political experience. This is currently a San Francisco program that applies to elected offices up and down the ballot — from Democratic Central Committee to the Board of Supervisors. Participation is free and contingent upon the acceptance of your application.
