WHY YOUR VOICE MATTERS
The fentanyl-fueled drug crisis facing San Francisco has been twice as deadly as COVID-19 and led to increasing homelessness, petty crime, and economic hardship. But we can ensure funding for solutions to this crisis are included in the next city budget. Mayor Breed has released her budget proposal, and now it’s up to the Board of Supervisors to work with the Mayor to finalize it by the end of June. This is the crucial moment to make sure law enforcement and drug recovery services are prioritized in the final budget.
Tell the Mayor, Board of Supervisors, Department of Public Health, Police Department, Health Commission, and Police Commission to keep critical public safety funding in the budget and prioritize funding for true treatment on demand for recovery services.
